Presented by the South Australian Film Corporation at its Adelaide Studios screen production facilities, SAGE is your chance to experience the best of South Australia’s thriving video game development industry first-hand.

SAGE Adelaide 2024
SAGE Awards
SAGE 2024 was double the fun and excitement with two action-packed days of free fun, an extended program, and two new awards:
- The SAGE: Elevate Award for the best game in the Elevate section, with a prize of $1,000 of legal services provided by SAGE partner Cam Rogers Legal, was awarded to Jonathon Anderson-Wills of Jonniemadeit for Uncle Unco, a single player game inspired by his 6 and 8-year-old niece and nephew, with a cute hand-drawn style.
- The SAGE Award for Best in Exhibition, with a $2,000 cash prize for the best game overall, provided by the SAFC, went to We Made A Thing Studios for their game Box Knight – a funny, silly and irreverent RPG roguelike action game in which you become office hero in a toxic workplace.
The Awards were determined by the 2024 SAGE Jury comprised of Screen Australia Games Investment Manager Chad Toprak, Big Ant Studios Chief Operating Officer Mark Bracken, Kotaku Australia managing editor David Smith, Games Hub’s Leah Jade Williams and independent games consultant Jon Cartwright.

The South Australian Film Corporation’s second SAGE: SA Game Exhibition was held at Adelaide Studios on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February, 2024, with more than 2000 game developers, gaming enthusiasts and members of the general public turning out to see and play video games from 19 local studios and indie developers.
